Parts of a river
What is a source?
It is the place the river starts from, in case its near the waterfall.
What is a meander?
A meander is when a river has curves in its path instead of a straight path, as in the picture above. It does this because as a river starts from the top of a mountain it has to make its way down to the bottom, sometimes it may have to face hard rocks which cannot be eroded, this is when it meanders around it.
What is a tributary?
A tributary is a small channel of water that connects with the river.
What is the river mouth?
It is the place where the river joins the sea/ocean.
